Such a poignant Tribute for sure our Rich, for those who had arranged for the Lancaster Bomber to fly over like this for the 70th Anniversary. All those people there paying their memorable respects too.
Beautiful views there.

Glad you enjoyed it our Tan. I also have the 1955 film starring Richard Todd and Michael Redgrave of the same title.  chuckles

The year I was born.  Very Happy

Sure that was a very interesting film to watch our Rich. And one to watch again when you like to. So much cannot of course be taken in at one time, so to watch again, would be good too.

It was a great film Tan and it added to my library of world war 2 films. I have a lot because I enjoy them so much and it adds to my study of the history of world war 2. So many British and American films were made of that era and I love them all. I watched the battle of the Bismarck on Sunday as well as the battle of the river patte.  chuckles

Fantastic videos and photos there, Rich, I also enjoy watching WW2 movies, and one of my favourites is "The Longest Day"

Thanks Alan, and the longest day is one of my faves as well. There were so many good films made of that era.  chuckles

Yes I remember seeing the photos last year Rich, my Jen reads or looks at the better Sunday papers. That raid must have shortened the war for a few months & messed up Hitlers plans for the Atlantic wall.
A Bridge To Far is very good Alan and I like Reach For The Sky.

A very interesting story and good photos ... and to read less than half of them every returned and then to see the dear elderly gentleman with tears - so touching.

Thank you, Rich.
