I pop into the yard to fix a small job on my Rocky, put my own rear wheel on but first I had to remove the cassette from the borrowed wheel & refit it to my wheel (this way the chain & cassette ware at same rate)
that done I had a look see the trailer of Landrover bikes, for soft tyres all looked fine. Then I spotted that these bike had been out for rides and know one told me and that they were covered in caked on mud, so i had to hose them down. This ment dragging the trail & bikes out of the building at up to the wash area. Here are some pictures :

As you can just see I had made a start on  wetting the mud, the tyres were really bad.

Notice the muck stuck around the front derailleur.

That's much better now back into the building to dry off and for me to check them over on Monday, See Rocky on the rack on my car.

Yellow hose and my brush perched on the bikes, multi tasking see girls.

What a lot of work but yes, they look sparkly clean now, Nordog - well done!

As much work as that was, bet trying to get the mud out of the back of one's shirt is even worse?  (Guess it's not 'cool' to have mud guards anymore?  Laughing ).

So true about always getting wet when using a hose ... hope you had your wellies on as it seems no matter where one stands the wind whips it back into one's face!

Again, well done getting all those bikes so clean!

No Welles Mara, was not expecting to clean bikes just work on mine.
Just bleed my brakes on Rocky, not very happy with my first attempt. Will have a test ride after my coffee.

They use to belong to the county council but they have cut the money for the help to straighten out wayward youngsters. So the chap who managed it, now has is own business do more or less the same thing. He also covers mountain climbing orienteering camping and kayaking etc.

I have about twenty running bikes and some 8 not running to look after.

As long as keep up with cleaning it is quicker to service them Condor. When first I got my hands on them it took a full day just clean one bike.

Do you use anything after all the bikes are washed and dried our Nordog?, like something put on to protect them from the elements.

I see 2 bikers here our Nordog, they go for a ride, come back and hose their bikes down. Can they not stay muddy, or must the mud come off everytime one goes trail riding

if you don't remove the mud or dust then the bike will be useless Honeybee, no brakes and you would not be able to change gear to move with the chain seizing up. That is what happens to a lot of bikes people just to lazy to clean and oil their bikes.
