A cycle & walkway

Post by nordog on Tue Sep 02, 2014 4:00 pm

At last the county council has started the new cycle & walkway, first they had some men to cut & clear the vegetation of stingers, briers & small trees etc.

Seems like I have another upload problem. Now that is better, now this is the housing estate entrance.

A further but looking back towards the the last photo.

I have turned around and this is the stage for laying the conduit for the lighting cables.

This is the industrial end of the section that is under construction. I think the electrical cable will be coming down on the right hand side in that gully.

Look like they intend to do a good job.

Now the far end near the Houses.

That will be a great cycle path our Gordon seems like there are some hills in the distance. I hope it's not flat as a pancake like most cycle paths are here. chuckles

How lovely it will be for you our Nordog, when all is done and open to the public, to have a ride around.

The cycle path is mostly flat for wheel chairs and walkers plus most people will not cycle like I do, they like it flat so it is not hard or to fast Rich.  That is just a small tump in the distance got some nice short but steep hills in the woods for a good sweat Rich like I did this evening.

Well, not too many hills close by here our Gordon, I have to travel at least 15 miles for that, but I really get moving on the concrete and asphalt cycle paths. Just have to watch out for pedestrians and roller bladders. chuckles

Very nice too. A bit of tarmac (?) makes all the difference for cyclists/walkers in general. Mud-lovers can always find tracks for some wet fun.
Good photo's too Nordog.
