Thank you our June for adding this video. I hadn't in the least thought about the driving aspect, no one is able to drive a car, or I gather even cycle on the roads. Amazing though too how it is said here that the other senses tune in more. Nature is a good thing in a way how it can help and adapt the other senses. Another thing is I always thought it was very rare. But to see where it was mentioned on average 1 in a 1,000 people had this, that really did surprise me. How wonderful it would be if eventually the cause of this happening was found, and a cure then for it.

It's all to do with genes Tan so, without eliminating those, there is no cure. Some are affected more than others and I had an uncle who was able to drive and, likewise, my dad and my son rode bicycles with no problems.

It's good though that schools nowadays are able to recognise this disadvantage and cope with special means.

Also, many more people are aware of it now and are able to make allowances for it.

It's true that the other senses are heightened.  Our Sebi has an incredible memory, and hearing. Likewise my dad.

That is good to hear then about the driving and riding bicycles. That was great for them to do.
So pleased your Sebi, and others with Nystagmus have more help these days when needed. The more that get to hear about this of course the more understanding, and aware, they will be.
I remember from this video some mentioned it was like looking through fog. Maybe then worse for some than for others.

Just watched your video again to remind me of this eye problem, can you keep us up to date with any new help for your two boys.

I have now put the video on my FB page to help remind my cycling friends of the problem.

There is already a Facebook page and a Nystagmus association. Wobbly Wednesday highlights it.

No new developments. It is not something that can be cured. Just the wearing of glasses and learning to live with it.
