Flowers / Charity Donations... (Funeral Address/Arrangements)

Post by Tan on Tue Jan 12, 2016 4:37 am

As soon as Joe lets it be known when sadly our Nev's funeral arrangements will be - I will add straight away.

Then if individual flowers would like to be sent we can all plan then for that. Or of course some may prefer to donate some money to a specific charity you support. Or of course anything you would like to arrange that will be more for what you prefer.

Nev didn't like flowers so it's a tricky one.

I would have bought a tree as I did for the others but will have to think about it.

Will wait and see. They may want no flowers by request as some do.

Yes that's a fair point our June, maybe about no flowers will be said about.
Just waiting of course to hear when all arrangements have been set, what is preferred.

**It seems there will not be any flower restrictions. Just all up to the individual what you would like to do. All collectively will never forget our Nev, he brought so much to each and everyone of us, and on the other forums he was a great part of too.  hug

Thank you our June, our Joelle and our Nordog. xx

Joe has been brilliant in keeping in touch, so grateful to him.  hug

He was saying a long time ago when our Nev did the OOB pictures, he copied this one to put onto the club wall, as he so enjoyed the company of all there, as of course they enjoyed his company too. Many since have asked Joe for a copy of it for them to keep.

Our Nev is now at the funeral directors, so Joe and friends can go to pay their respects to him there. Joe said he is taking some items, one being our Nev's pipe to place into his hands.  hug

I sent Little Tan and OOBOO to our Nev when he first started to be unwell, he was greatly surprised to open the box and see them both looking up at him. Very Happy  He said those two will cheer him up for sure. Very Happy

Joe was saying he was told by Nev the history of them, so with that in mind he will be placing them into the hearse on the day.
I felt that was very touching indeed, as I said to Joe. Then in time they will come back to me to be with all their little sisters.

Also Joe said the Announcement of our Nev's passing will be in the Evening Telegraph on Monday.

Thank you Tan, Joe is a unique understanding and very kind man, what a lovely friend Nev had and visa versa of course. Such good friends are hard to come by. Thanks for the update, personally I always like to remember my loved ones when they have died as they were and have only once been to a viewing and afterwards wished I hadn't but so many feel it is a last goodbye and a lovely thought to think of our Nev with his pipe in his hand. How lovely too that Little Tan and Oboo will be with Nev on his last journey and for Joe to think about that.

Yes such a very understanding and kind man Joe is. Great friendship our Nev, Joe and Ella had for a long long time. Joe has certainly thought of a lot to help in every way he can.
Admitted it is hard to see a loved one when they have passed away. Best for sure if many prefer not to do that, and like you mentioned our Joelle to remember them how they were.

Yes an individual choice isn't it our Honeybee. What ever way brings peace of mind to anyone, acceptance and closure too as well.

I am the same as Joelle and Honeybee. Only did it twice. Once for my grandma and then for my dad.

Nev was lucky to have a close friend to do everything on his behalf and I'm sure his other friends/relatives will be grateful.

Thank you our Joelle.

I have just been informed camera's are allowed to be used. Seems also a video camera will be used as well. I had planned to take my camera, but only use it if I saw others taking photo's in memory of our Nev. Now I know,  then I will take some as well.
