IT'S ALL OVER

Post by FRANK W. on Thu Dec 28, 2017 8:57 am

My personal Christmas is over,  and the point was reached when we had polished off the last of the Christmas Pud on Boxing Day. Ergo I will say no more lest I am thought of as a 'party pooper'

I have already set my mind to preparing the canapes  for my 75th Birthday Party to be held next month in the public phone box 1/4 mile down the main road. The exclusive affair  is by invitation which will suggest guests bring their mobiles and wear substantial footwear in case of prevalent  defenestration,

'bye for now.

I'm glad you hope I am well, June  Thank you.  I am;   apart from the onset of occasional insanity the cause of which will not be spoken about in here.

Alliterative punning Little Tan thank you kindly for your. offer to sing for us. Mezzo soprano I hope  but there will be little room to use sheet music.

There will be few guests, and any proposing gate crashing are quite likely to be turned away.  In any case it would not be unusual to find the door hanging off the hinges (not caused by the chaps carrying ye Grand Piano).

ttfn,  not many days to go....]

Hi Honeybee'

It may well be a first for a Birthday Party  but is not i original concept i.e
the venue for very few people indeed.  A risque or worse schoolboy joke which I have cleaned up and made surreal, thereby avoiding Christmas.

Thank you for the image of the old red phone box, each now collectors items, 'at a pretty price.'

My whole purpose in opening this diary was a diversion from the Christmas TTR post which appeared to be bubbling with gaiety, happiness and virtual noise which,  apart from being sociable in wishing the group Season's Greetings I  could not let my hair down for several reason best left unsaid.

Evenin' Frank. Hope you are OK and that the birthday party is going to plan. Don't forget bunting around the phone box Wink

One of my neighbours (an ex police officer) has a handicapped wife that he cares for. A nice man but we don't see a lot of him. When the weather is nicer he comes up the road for a chat.  Usually when I'm gardening.
